Coach Mike grew up as a military dependent and spent most of his life in the Washington D.C. area. He
won a Maryland State Championship as a Junior and was voted Most Improved Player (MIP) at the
famed Saint Thomas More School in Oakdale, Connecticut. Coach Mike has been teaching and
developing players since 1996 and has placed several of his players in Colleges and Universities around
the country. He spent nine consecutive summers at the prestigious Five-Star Basketball Camp as a
camper and counselor. Coach Mike got his grass roots basketball start with the Mount Royal Eagles
(Now Team Melo) program in Baltimore, Maryland which produced several notable players to include
NBA Hall of Famer (HOF) Carmelo Anthony and Bub Carrington (2024 NBA First Round Pick). Coach Mike
is a graduate of Bowie State University where he was a part of a Division II Final Four Team in 2003.
Coach Mike is married with three children and enjoys his time teaching players the game of basketball,
spending time with his family, and traveling.
